Committee meeting
Saturday 31 March '07
3pm ish. Carol arrives. With Bengal breeders its never as straight forward as being picked up to go anywhere. We need to walk round each others cats and kittens to see what is happening with each others cats. Carol has a girl here, so we need to check on her also. She isn't calling any longer so she isn't interested in Purebliss Blue Prints. We decide to keep her at Purebliss until she comes in call again.
Off we go, I'll drive this time as carol has a bad knee.
Down to the M25 and around we go to the Holiday Inn at Shepperton. We check in and unpack, then its down to dinner. We have a lovely meal in the restaurant and manage to continue to talk about cats all through.
7.30am. Alarm goes off and into the shower. Breakfast at 8am with carol, then back up to the room to pack.
Back down to the desk to check out and then for a coffee. We've managed to talk cats from carol arriving at Pureblisss Bengals on Saturday, right through until now.
10.45am. Off to the Bengal Cat Club Meeting. Its always nice to meet like minded people, talking cats. We all have the welfare and benefit of our members and their cats at heart. Sometimes it may take some discussion to get there, but nevertheless we get there in the end. Rosie and Barry have provided a lovely lunch for us all, and then its back to business. The meeting finishes and then true to being Bengal breeders we have to see what Barry and Rosie are doing with their cats. They show us round their lovely Bengal boys and girls, then its time to go home. Late setting off as usual, where does time go.
On the way home we have a phone call from Tim. Carol answers and Pru is having her Bengal babies 5 days early. Tim keeps us in touch all the way home - another one hanging out by the chord, Tim has to help bring out the placenta. If you know Tim, you will know that this is quite something. Tim doesn't like blood, so he has done extremely well to lend a hand here. The another call, and another kitten needing help. Pru seems to be able to get the kittens out but not the placenta with them. Shes in good hands and Tim is getting quite an expert at helping her. By the time we arrive home Purebliss Phewamblu has 4 kittens born. I rush up to see them and she starts to push out a 5th one. With a little help out it comes along with its placenta and its a girl. 5 beautiful blue spotted Bengal kittens. 3 Blue Spotted Bengal female kittens and 1 Blue Spotted Bengal male kitten. Can't decide if the 5th Bengal Kitten is a boy or girl, will need to wait a couple of days before i make up my mind.
