open day at White House Boarding Cattery
Held in aid of Life For Cats rescue group
A good day was had by all who came. A lovely friendly atmoshphere, lots of sunshine, very few rain drops.
Stalls were kindly set up by our volunteers, Bric a brac, hoopla, refreshments, Individually Yours, Oscars pet food, we had a raffle which was drawn at about 3.30pm. Tim had his LGB engines running (big boys and their toys!), there seemed to be quite a few big boys at the open day. James Welbeloved and Royal Canin kindly donated to our raffle prizes and supplied givaway samples and literature for the day. We also had a "name the kitten" prize draw for 4 moggie kittens, and there were "pat a cat" bengals available on the day, a blue eyed snow spotted bengal called "Snogger" and 2 brown marbled bengals, "Bangers and Mash", they all behaved extremely well and enjoyed their time when they were being stroked and cuddled.
Reservations were taken on 3 adult rescues cats on the day to be picked up at a later date. They have now been sucessfuly rehomed and have settled in well.
We raised a little over £400 to add to the original £130 making a total of £530, added to the adoption donations of the three cats reserved on the day, enabled Life For Cats to purchase 2 outdoor cat houses at a cost of £580, including delivery.
We all said what a successful day, not only because of raising the cost of the pens but also due to the enjoyment had by everyone who came.
Anyone wishing to be involved with Life For Cats rescue group will be made very welcome. If you live in the Grantham or Newark area and have ideas for raising funds or time to come and give our rescue cats a cuddle, please contact me on jacky@pureblissbengals.com
