Two more prizes picked up this morning. A few more still to be picked up.
The snow girl has shown a little interest in being friends with Katolat again and he would love to be friends, but leaves her to make up her mind as she has told him off a couple of times.
5pm and she is back in her adjoining pen all tucked up for the night in her nice warm bedroom. She enjoyed her dinner as she had some freshly cooked chicken. Minced chicken brought to the boil and given a good stir, then left to cool for 15 mins. Cold water then added into the middle to cool it down further so as not to over cook it. Then served in its still warm juices, she loved it. We gave all the Boarders and Bengals chicken tonight, although some of the boarders have a choice of another meat, fish or complete in case they don't like the chicken. We know what our regular boarders like.
9pm Final check for this night (we vary the times for security reasons, although we are alarmed). Tim starts at one end of the cattery and I start at the other. All cats are happy, some come out to greet us, just to say Goodnight! Lana's in bed as usual, but rushes down to have a tickle before she goes back to bed, cuddled up with Freeze, Freeze just can't be bothered moving, he's too comfy. We check all boarders and Bengals have water and their heaters are all on and working OK. Marti and Malarki (2 of our Bengals) join us when they can to walk around the cattery and garden with us, they love to be part of it all.
9.15pm Just a few complete bics to graze on in case our visiting snow girl should fancy something to eat in the night as she has eaten every last crumb.
Smokey's out and that's unusual for her so we spent a little time with her having a few words and giving her a tickle - she doesn't like being picked up but she is such a softie, a senior cat who just wants a quiet life, and a few kind words, not to mention the food and tickles. Gilbert has thrown his bedding upside down, what a mess, how does he expect to sleep in that, never mind soon sorted out. Rocky has spilt his water all over his biscuits, I fill up his water and Tim replaces his soggy Oscars complete.
9.55pm Finished, time for a hot chocolate. This time of year the last check doesn't usualy take us so long when both of us are doing it, but sometimes you just like to reasure them that they are loved.
